How We Care

With 30+ years of management experience in the care industry, Amicura’s purpose built modern care homes are the perfect place to call home. Our homes provide excellent environments and compassionate person-centered care to ensure we maximise the wellbeing of our residents.

We take a personalised approach to the way we care for our residents, ensuring we allow them to maintain their sense of identity and independence for as long as possible. We offer several different types of care, with most of our homes offering more than one type.

Our Care Philosophy

To adhere to Amicura’s person-centred care philosophy we encourage our individual home managers to develop environments that are homely, open and welcoming. All our staff are given free mandatory training to ensure they are well qualified to deliver the best standard of care possible in line with our values. Across our services we seek to promote:

Identity - by taking thorough life histories we can create tailored care plans for reach person in our care
Independence - by taking a proportionate and least intrusive response to risk, we actively encourage and promote the ability of residents to take their own decisions
Engagement - through tailored care plans we can deliver activities and/or other engagement that stimulates each resident
Empathy – by caring for residents with dignity and respect, we allow them to maintain a greater sense of wellbeing and independence

As part of the process of caring for you at Amicura, we undertake thorough assessments of your needs prior to you entering our care home. This ensures that the care you receive is best suited and tailored to your individual needs. Once we have confirmed that we can care for you, we encourage you to visit so that you can get used to the environment and to see if it is somewhere you could call home.
