At Haslingden Hall, residents are enjoying more than just care and support – they’re also embracing unique experiences that foster more enjoyment and independence. As featured in Rossendale Free Press, the care home team introduced a personalised in-house shopping experience, providing residents the convenience of a traditional shopping trip without having to leave the home.

The newly established convenience store offers a range of everyday essentials that residents can purchase. This space allows residents to maintain a sense of normalcy, picking out things they need and enjoying the routine of shopping.

On the top floor, they extended this idea opening ‘ Haslingden Hall Boutique’ adding a range of sustainable fashion collected from the donations by families, relatives and friends. This allows residents to enjoy a perfect retail experience without missing out on the small joys of life. The unsold items are donated to the Cancer Research Branch in Rawtenstall.

What truly makes these stores special is their impact. All funds raised from the stores go directly into the residents’ fund, which is used to support enriching activities and purchase birthday gifts. This thoughtful initiative has become a cherished part of Haslingden Hall, offering residents a chance to shop, engage, and bond with loved ones when they visit. For those residents who have limited mobility or are bed-bound, the care home team ensures they don’t miss out—bringing the shop to them daily through a trolley service that allows them to enjoy the same experience from the comfort of their room.
