As winter wraps our care homes in a festive glow, we’re excited to share heartwarming moments from across our care homes in this edition of the newsletter. From centenary celebrations and Christmas fairs to fun-filled games, music, and creative activities, our residents, staff, and families have made this season truly special.
Here’s a look at some of the highlights from our latest newsletter:
Liberton Brae
Residents enjoyed a magical Christmas celebration, complete with a visit from Santa, festive crafts, and a choir performance that filled the home.
Kingsley
Kingsley embraced the holiday spirit with a Christmas market, offering handmade crafts and delicious treats. Residents also took part in a special reminiscence session, sharing their favourite winter memories over hot cocoa.
Jasmine Court
Jasmine Court was alive with music and laughter as residents participated in a carol-singing event and a festive baking competition. Therapy animals also visited the home, bringing smiles to everyone.
Haslingden Hall
This winter, Haslingden Hall introduced a ‘Secret Santa for Residents’ initiative, ensuring that everyone received a thoughtful gift. A Christmas quiz and themed bingo nights kept spirits high throughout the season.
The Glen
The Glen hosted a spectacular New Year’s Eve party, complete with live entertainment and a toast to the year ahead.
Andrew Cohen House
The home’s festive season was filled with arts and crafts sessions, movie marathons, and a touching candlelight service to reflect on cherished memories.
Harmony House
Harmony House residents enjoyed a delightful afternoon tea with live music, celebrating the season in style. The home also hosted an intergenerational day, bringing together children and residents for a fun-filled afternoon.
Roseway House
Roseway House put on a Christmas pantomime, with staff and residents joining in the fun. The laughter and joy from the performance made it one of the season’s most memorable events.
